Hydrophobic, yet semi-permeable
The intended layer repels water while retaining some permeability. It is not an impermeable liner and does not replace a properly designed drainage system.
Support road longevity from the layers beneath the surface. TerraValor’s stabilization approach is designed to create a hydrophobic, semi-permeable reinforced layer below the wearing course, adding tensile-strength properties to otherwise unbound soil and aggregate.
The wearing course is the surface exposed to traffic. Stabilizing the supporting layers is intended to improve their integrity and help limit the movement and moisture-related deterioration that can shorten a road’s service life.
Illustrative layers only—not a construction specification. A project may call for treatment of the base, sub-base, subgrade, or a selected combination. Layer thicknesses, treatment rates, drainage, and material suitability require site-specific design.

Designed to resist freeze–thaw-related deterioration by improving the treated layer’s integrity and response to moisture. Performance depends on the material, climate, and drainage.
Reinforcement is intended to resist particle movement from traffic-induced vibration and reduce loss of supporting material through subsurface erosion.
Polymer treatment is intended to add binding and tensile-strength properties to otherwise unbound soil and aggregate, helping the layer act as a reinforced foundation.
Discuss existing soil and aggregate, moisture conditions, traffic loading, the proposed wearing course, and the layer you intend to treat. Material evaluation and appropriate testing should inform the treatment and construction approach.
These are intended performance benefits, not guaranteed service-life extensions. Available indirect tensile laboratory findings apply to their tested materials and methods; they do not independently establish freeze–thaw, vibration, permeability, or long-term performance for every road design.
